I knew it....

I love it.
So did Rodger.
When it was over he looked at me and said, "Are they making the sequels?"
It made me smile.

Tis the Season

It started with a box

And then ended with our 1st beautiful tree!
Together we put on our first ornament
And I love my White Poinsettia's

We saw Four Christmases tonight and let me just say that I love Vince Vaughn.  We saw the 6:45 showing and after we were going to catch the 8:15 Twilight movie because that's what I wanted to see.  We changed our minds once the 1st movie was out.  Two movies in a row would be a little much.  Rodger promised me we'll see Twilight soon, I can't believe I've let it wait this long.
Anyways.......let Christmas begin!
P.S. Happy 1st Anniversary to Joe and Chels which was yesterday Monday Dec. 1st.

Congratulations!!!

A couple of weeks ago, Rodger, myself, and his mom went up to Park City to help his brother, Jeff propose to his girlfriend.  They were staying up at Stein Erickson, gorgeous place.  While they were at dinner, this is when we sneaked into their room and decorated it.  We had Rose pedals on the floor, a bouquet of her favorite flowers, white lights, pictures of them, and the box the ring went in.  The pictures don't do it justice because it was beautiful.  The plan was she would open the door see the pedals and follow the path to the bedroom.  The picture above is where it ended.  She would then see the flowers, the pictures, and the box.  When she opened it nothing was in there, she turned around and there was Jeff down on his knee with the ring.
She said "YES"
Congratulations Jeff and Amber!
They are planning a wedding in May.

Life

It's been awhile since I last posted. We've been busy. Work is busy for me right now, which I love! Rodger is doing really well with work too, which is a relief since Real Estate isn't at it's best. He has to work harder to earn his business, which is what he is doing. I'm very proud of him. Nothing too exciting is going on with us, just the normal everyday life.
This weekend was fun. Friday after work we went out to dinner with my dads side of the family for my grandma's 75th Birthday! She looks great for her age and is very healthy. Afterwards Rodger and I got to babysit my cousin's little girl, Indie. She's adorable and we had fun. We went to Target and Walmart to get some Christmas lights for our house, she's a good shopping partner. She would just ride on Rodger's shoulders and scream away. Rodger loves her, as do I. We then went home and watched a movie with Rodger's mom, I fell asleep of course.
Saturday we went to work. We first cleaned the entire house and then outside we went. I started mowing the lawn, actually mowing the leaves. We get so many leaves on our yard. We decided to just mow them right up rather than take the extra time to rake and then put them in bags (which I've already done twice this season). While I was doing this, Rodger was up on the roof putting up our Christmas lights. I hope they look beautiful. It will be a test to even see if they will work. Old houses can be a pain when it comes to electrical. Rodger will figure it out, he won't quit.
While doing our Saturday work, Joey and Chels text us and asked if we wanted to go up to my dads house in Eden. They went up Friday since it was Joey's birthday. Rodger was so excited so of course we said yes. We went up Saturday afternoon. We made dinner, some yummy steaks, potatoes with a salad. Then we had a great idea, thanks to Chels. In the master bedroom there are 2 big screen TVs. On one TV was the Jazz game while the other TV was playing the Utes game. It was brillant and perfect. I'm upset the Jazz lost, hopefully they win tonight. Big Jazz Fan!
Sunday was a relaxing day. We went to my moms and helped a little with unpacking. She didn't really want to do it because that's what she's been doing all weekend. So we relaxed and watched a movie. We than had our first Sunday dinner at the new house. It's a beautiful house and she's so happy.
We're excited for Thanksgiving. Our plans are to go up to Eden (again) with my dad, Angela, the girls, Chels & Joey and possibly Ash and Linds. We're excited to have a relaxing long weekend.

Little Miss Jamie

She's been excited for weeks!
We were lucky this last weekend and got to watch Jamie, Rodger's half sister. She is 7 years old and quite the little girl. She was a little angel at first and towards the end was a little more difficult. All in all, we had a great time. She had 2 Halloween parties, this is why she is dressed up as "Sharpay" off of HSM. I even put a touch of makeup on her little face, it was fun.

I have to admit I can't wait to have kids. It was fun having a schedule and sticking to it. Having her come home, doing homework, we even got to do a fun homework activity which included doing 20 jumping jacks (I haven't done those in forever) and sit-ups and push-ups, taking her to her MANY activities, and just hanging out.
Her favorite part was probably her bedroom. She loved her big bed!

We love you Jamie!
