Oh what a wonderful surprise we pulled on Lindsey. Originally my dad had plans to go out to see Lindsey in Savannah, Georgia. For those of you that don't know, Lizzy is out there for 5 months for an internship with Del Sol. She left January 8th and returns home on Button's birthday, May 21st. It was a tough time saying goodbye to Lindsey, one who is one of my best friends. She is the life of our family and is truly missed.
So, back to the story, my dad then invited Chelsea and Sarah to go with him because Lindsey nannied Sarah and she missed her the most. Well, that led Chelsea and my dad begging me to tag along as well. I was hesitant, I was fresh into my Spring Semester and the night we would be coming back home, I would have two tests the following day. Let's be honest, that didn't stop me, although it was a close call. I realized life is too short and I didn't want to miss out on this fun adventure.
The surprise was that Lindsey only knew my dad was coming out. She had no idea Chelsea, myself, and little Sarah Sue would be joining him.
We left on Thursday January 20th and returned home Monday night January 24th.
Here we are all smiles about to leave on the airplane. Sarah was such a trooper on the plane rides. She really is the best baby.

Sarah is such a sweaty mess when she sleeps:)
It's cute
Love this picture. It reminds me of when we first landed Sarah was laughing.
She loved flying.
She slept a lot on her mom throughout the plane rides. And when she was awake, she was happy and would play with books, toys, or our ipads/iphones.
We had many options of how to surprise Lindsey. The one we decided on was as follows:
-Father would knock on their door and go inside.
-Five minutes later we would knock on the door, with only Sarah in her carseat visible.
-Chelsea and I would be hiding close by (so no one would snag Sarah) and pop out and say "Surprise!"
Something to that effect, we were excited to do it and couldn't wait!
Well, that didn't happen. We were lost, so my dad had to call Lindsey to get directions. Savannah is one of the oldest cities that was developed. So the roads are hidden and easily you could never find River Street, which is where Lindsey lives. It was a simple mistake on our part.
Well, we found the invisible road and start heading down to find her house number. In the distance I could see a figure walking towards us, I'm like "It's Lindsey! Crap!!" I was in the front seat, so I duck down, as well as Chelsea who was in the back. My dad pulls into the parking stall and we knew when he opened the door the light would come on and she would see us. We continued ducking down and we hear, "Oh my, what?!" And we all just start smiling and laughing with much joy!
Lindsey had no idea.
It didn't even hit her that Sarah was here as well. How could she not know that? She was just in shock and was not thinking straight. She immediately opened the back seat door to say hello to Sarie.
Sarah has missed her nanny.
This is Lindsey and Brynn's cute apartment and their little scooter (Pico). Brynn is Lindsey's best friend, has been for years, together they are doing the internship.
The street she lives on. The roads are so old and are paved with cobblestone. It caused for a bumpy ride.
This is their view from their balcony. Lucky ducks!
I can't tell you how many times our father said, "I could just sit out here and read a book."
I agree dad, I agree.

We of course had to buy some merchandise from Del Sol. Del Sol is a company that sells shirts, hats, shorts, towels, fingernail polish, etc and all the items change color in the sun. I bought some fingernail polish that is light pink inside but when I go outside it turns to a brighter pink. It's quite fun!
Cute Lizzy and Brynn outside their store.
The house we stayed in. The next day while on our trolley tour we found out it was haunted. Details to come on that later.
Above is my room along with Chelsea and Sarah's.

They stayed with us even though their apartment was 3 minutes walking distance away.
It was just much easier to be all together and fun!

Creepy hallway. This is where Sarah would point to who knows what and say, "Muh."
Children and babies are so sensitive to "ghosts."
We kinda would get creeped out, but we survived.
To the side and back of the house was an Acura Car Dealership. It caused for some bright lights shining through our windows at night. This is father's way of trying to fix that problem. I don't think it worked that well:)
I LOVED falling asleep next to Sar. One night while in bed she was pitching my nose and giving me kisses over and over. It was adorable.
She's such a cute little girl. She made sure to always wake me up in the morning.
I love the fat rolls hanging over her diaper. And that SMILE.
How can you not smirk a smile when you see this picture?
Sarah was such a ball to have around. Once I got home to Utah I was having Sarah withdrawals. Are you ready for a funny story? One day we decided to do a trolley tour around Savannah because there is a lot of history. We were the only ones on the tour bus at the beginning. A lady boards and sits down behind us. I turn around and ask,

I turn around and ask,
"Would you mind taking a picture?"
She says, "A picture of me?"
I say (without trying to laugh) "No, of us?"
She then goes on to say, "Oh, well, eh, I don't know how to use it."
"It's really simple, you just click the big button and hold it down until it takes."
"One minute and I will." she says in disgust.
Well during that minute we are all trying to hold back our giggles. My dad then takes the camera and is trying to take a picture of us. The lady goes,
"Oh there, that works, you did it."
Meaning, I'm not taking your picture anymore, I'm old, rude, and lazy.
As you see above I am causally taking a picture of my dad, when really we had to snap a picture of the Grinch.
Yes, this picture looks great, as my dad is holding his head back trying to get in.
Thanks for your help, lady from "Flor-e-da."
When the tour guide gets on the bus she asks everyone where they are from. This particular lady states, "Flor-e-da." The tour lady then ask, "Originally?" And in her Spanish accent says, "Yes."
My dad then says, "I doubt that." Awful soul he is. Anyways, it was funny.
I loved all the street names, especially this one. It's one of Lindsey and Brynn's least favorite, for many reasons.
This is called the Pirate House. It is haunted because the color of the shutters/door is turquoise. Not green, but not blue.

Here we are having dinner at the Pirate House. Someone came by to visit.
Caroline (our little sister) would have loved this place. Especially to meet him.
Most nights we stayed in. Here is Sarah and I enjoying her cartoon show.
Sarah warming up to grandpa.
Buttons and I in front of our house. Notice the color of the front door? Our shutters were that color too. The haunted turquoise color. This is why our place was haunted.
While on our tour guide the lady is turning the corner and saying, "And this house is one of my favorites, notice the color of the door and shutters, same as the Pirate House. It's haunted."
We are all sitting there, realizing, hey we are staying there.
It was quite funny and eery.
It is so beautiful there. Trees all around.
This the spot where Forest Gump's famous bench was.
The sisters + Sarah
Dad was so good to deal with an all girl trip. I guess he is used to it, having all girls.
I loved all the old Victorian homes. I could walk around this city all day long.
They have really yummy food. We tried many different places.
Seashells in the road
This is how they get around. Goofs.
The house we were staying in. This shows a better view of it. Going over the bridge. On our way to Tybee Island.
Tybee Island is about 40 minutes away from Savannah.
We climbed this dear lighthouse.
We may or may not have been all huffing and puffing when we finally got to the top.
Thank you dad for allowing the successful trip to happen.
I know it meant the world to Lindsey.
I love you Lizzy, miss you more and more each day.
*My family has been waiting and waiting for me to get this post up and running. Do you all now understand why it took me so long? So many pictures with stories/memories to go along.
Thanks for your patience, you non-patience people.
