The Process Has Begun!

Our house is under contract as of last night. Our fingers are crossed because something easily can happen and the deal could be over with so quickly. I had mixed emotions while Rodger and I were signing the Acceptance.
A. It was funny because we were laying in bed in our underwear signing the papers away.
B. We were making fun of each others signatures. Rodger said mine looked like a 1st graders and I said Rodger looked like he was trying to be a doctor.
C. It's our first house.
D. We've had a lot of memories in this house and we'll miss it.
Anyways, I don't know if I should: scream, cry, smile, laugh, jump up and down, or curl up in a ball.
But seriously, we are very happy for this new adventure. Even though we love this house and will miss it, we can make a new house our home and we can't wait.
Fingers Crossed!!!

Dear Husband,

I can't wait for you to come home today! I've missed you so much. Here's just a few to name:
*I teared up when I saw your Blue Toothbrush wasn't resting right by my Pink one.
*Getting ready in the morning and not knowing your close by still sleeping or watching TV.
*Sitting at work and regretting going home because you wouldn't be there.
*Watching the new movie: Time Travelers Wife and wanting you beside me. (Mom and Ash your sniffling company was just as great)
*I missed seeing you at 1st base for our first Fall Softball Season.
*Going home each night by myself.
*Falling asleep alone (But I'm proud-All 3 nights alone in my house-Didn't get scared!)
Funny Story: I went to bed sleeping right in the middle with your pillow behind mine. I wake up to my alarm and I'm on my side sleeping only on my pillow and yours is in your spot. It made me laugh, but then I wanted to cry.
*I miss your face
*Our "Yummy Mixes"
*Eating with you
*Your laugh
I pretty much just miss you!
I can't wait for my prince to come home this evening. Expect a HUGE hug! And lots of kisses.
I love you babe.

Our Kaysville Cottage

Let's refresh: My 20th birthday is when Rodger proposed to me. We were in California staying at his grandparents beach home in Long Beach. We went to Dodger's game, a helicopter ride to Catalina, it was magical. He proposed on the beach and I remember when I saw my ring for the first time, I thought it looked like a star:) Anywho. When we got back to their house, Rodger gave me a birthday card and inside was a picture of a house, which is what is our house today. It was the house that I've always thought was cute and he bought it (which I would like to add he bought it all by himself at age 20)! Well this all happened in September. He closed on the house in October and I wouldn't let him move in until we could together, which wasn't until our wedding in February. We had 4 months to make the house ours.

We scrapped off the "Cottage Cheese" ceilings in the family and dining room. This was rough, but so worth it!
Took off layers and layers of wallpaper in the Master bedroom.
Made a patio in the backyard and have added more plants to make it look nicer.
Changed all the light fixtures and all plugs.
Threw on some paint to give it color and attitude.
We had a lot of fun doing this together. It was hard work, but so worth it.

And guess what? It's FOR SALE!

Best agent in the world, my husband.

We recently had Tub Doctor come and redo our bathtub and kitchen sink. They are crystal clear and beautifully white!

We have loved our house. Truly have. The reason we are moving is to take advantage of this great market for buyers. If our house can't sell, then we will be happy to stay. We are excited for this possible new adventure. If you know of anyone interested have them call Rodger (number listed above)

In other news:

Rodger is selling his Scooter!

He has loved his "scoot" and it's been fun to ride around on. We have just decided we no longer need it. You can see an add for it on KSL.

Snowbird Saturday

Our friend Braden got hooked up with some Summer Tickets to go to Snowbird.  It's beautiful up there!  Rodger and I have been there before, it was 2 years ago that I took him there for his birthday and we went four wheeling.  That was fun.  Anyways we went up this past Saturday.
On our way up in the tram to the tip top.
Braden and Chelsea
At the very top it was about 40*.  It felt like fall, which got me excited!

On the Ski Lift up to the activities!  Muah!  I love kisses from Rodger.

We went to go on the Alpine Slides but the line was forever.  We then headed over to the Zip Line, waited in that line for about 45 minutes, got to the top, and it started to rain.  Therefore we didn't get to go.  Oh well.  It was still a fun trip.

Dana Point, California

My generous and kind dad took all of us to California. We were there from Wednesday July 29th-Wednesday August 5th. Those that attended were:
Dad
Angela
Caroline & Ava
Joey (Could only come for 3 days)
Chelsea (Came Saturday till the end with the boys too)
Keaton
Isaac
Rodger
Me
Ashley
Lindsey
It was a really fun trip. We stayed in Dana Point in a beautiful house very close to the ocean. I have TONS of pictures and I have a hard time deciding what to share, therefore enjoy lots! We hung out at the beach a lot, relaxed, ate delicious dinners (at home or out to eat) went to Balboa Island, a Padres game, and much more. Enjoy!

I HATE flying
Off we go to find the house!

San Diego Fun

Whenever we come across statues, we always have to copy them. I highly recommend it, it's lot of fun:)

My favorite temple. It looks like a castle.

The House We Called Our Home For A Week
Rodger and I got to sleep on a low bed, I was excited!
Living room upstairs
Kitchen
The beautiful view. The house was plenty big. Four bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 great decks, 2 family/living rooms. The driveway was awful though. It was so steep, I wish I would have taken a picture of it. It took some time to park every time we pulled in.

Fun At the House/Restaurants

I love this picture. This is Ava telling me "No, Cortney don't take a picture." I can hear her cute little voice now saying it. She's a doll.
The girls dancing
Ash and I look like twins. But Ash is prettier, let's be honest.

The girls were calmly sitting on the side dipping their little toes into the fountain. Then all the sudden, little Ms. Ava goes right in. We couldn't stop them, they were having too much fun!
The 6 Sisters. Mine and Caroline's faces are hilarious.
The Girls

The San Diego Padres Game

Balboa Island

Ash, myself, and Keat got pretty sick on the boat. Poor Keat even threw up.
Here is a mother whale and her baby. It was pretty cool to see.
I loved all the homes around Balboa Island and the Penninsula.
Ava and Caroline got a Cartoon Picture done. They were Mermaids, it turned out cute. The guy drawing it didn't realize they were twins until he started on the next one. He's like, oh they look quite a bit alike.

Beach Fun
Oh sweet Caroline. My dad went into the ocean and the next thing we notice, she is sitting on his chair, grabbed his reading glasses, and started reading his book. It was adorable.
She's so into it.
Ava loved her Boogey Board. She was playing in the ocean with me and dad and she took a pretty big fall. It was awful. I felt bad. But she recovered from it and went back out.

Sand Volleyball was a hit

The only thing I hate about the beach is the sand is EVERYWHERE. I just have to learn to not let it bother me, it's going to to get everywhere no matter what. Some even came home with me to Utah, ugh.
I believe right after I took this picture, Ava started tinkling:)

Yes, not attractive of my lovely butt. But a cute picture indeed.

We found a really pretty place with rocks all around and the waves were coming up and crashing against them. I loved it. Here are Ash and Linds having some fun.

We had a blast on our trip. Thanks so much dad for taking all of us. It was a very special treat. We love you!!!
