Christmas Day

A few days before Christmas during the week we celebrated with Angela and the twins.
We met at Chelsea's for lunch. The girls were so cute and it was good to see them. Rodger and I got them some games since every time they come over that is all we seem to do is play games. They seemed to enjoy them.
Christmas morning it was just Rodger and I. We slept in a little and then went right to our stockings. This year we only did stockings because well, we went on our Cruise, I got a new car, and the list goes on.
Stockings are my absolute favorite, so it works for me! Rodger got me some good stuff, as always. A few of my favorites that I got Rodger were:
-Fry Sauce
-A present really for me:)
-And the biggest of all-A bigger, better, wedding ring that he has had his eye on for some time. I did so good at hiding this secret from him. I was very proud of myself for not spoiling the surprise. In the end, it was all for nothing because he returned it yesterday:(
Haha, I'm kidding, but seriously. He figured he really didn't like it once he had it and he missed his original wedding ring. I understood.
Later this day we went to my grandparents to see all aunts, uncles, and cousins. We had a yummy lunch, gift exchange, and chit chat.
Later that evening we had my family over for dinner. I love being a host and having people over. I'm glad they agreed to it.
Present exchanging is always a blast. I think Sarah makes it even better. I could watch her all day long. Everyone got great stuff and we are so happy and fortunate to have each other.
I love my family very much.
Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Rodger's family. They were leaving out of town to go to relatives the next day. We had a delicious dinner (Olive Garden Take Out) and a fun evening of games and presents.
It was fun to watch Kyler and Tristan open their gifts. Jamie was in charge of the games and did a very nice job. We always have fun with Rodger's family. It was a great Christmas.

Caribbean Carnival Cruise

Our Cruise was amazing. We left Friday December 10th at midnight until the following Sunday December 19th. My first (and hopefully last) red eye. It wasn't too bad, but it definitely was not fun. Trying to sleep in an airport is almost impossible.
The Cruise was with Rodger's Real Estate Team which includes his father and 2 other guys that are brothers. The wives came along as well, of course! Because my husband rocks this Cruise was a special treat for us because Rodger hit all his goals in 2010. I'm so proud of him!
*Random coincidence was that our good friends the Bendt's were on the same cruise, not planned at all. It was fun to run into them every now and then.
Don't we look happy?
*Hint-If you click on the collages they will expand for better view*
We arrived in San Juan Puerto Rico Saturday afternoon. That evening we went to dinner and went to their HUGE mall. It was extremely big and so many people were there.
The next day our Cruise Ship didn't leave until later that evening so we dropped our luggage off at the Port and signed in that we were here (best decision we ever made, no lines to wait in) and then off to shop some more downtown San Juan.
Our Ship was called Carnival Victory. Our room was nice and big with a balcony which made it extra nice. The slide was a blast, along with miniature golfing, the casino, big screen TV, and much more.
Our 1st stop was St. Thomas/St. John's. This day we took a cab, a ferry, and then another cab to a famous beach called Trunk Bay. It was beautiful. We went snorkeling and hung out at the beach.
Our 2nd stop, Barbados. This day we took a catamaran out to go swimming with Sea Turtles. It was magical and they looked so fake and animated. I felt like I was swimming with the turtles off of Finding Nemo.
Our 3rd stop was my favorite, St. Lucia. It was gorgeous. This is the place where The Bachelor was filmed. We went to the beach just down from the place they stayed in. The views were breathtaking on this island. I would love to go again.
Above are the beautiful pictures in St. Lucia. The top left is a spot where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. The pictures don't do the place justice, I promise it was beyond pretty.
Our 4th stop was St. Kitts. I really enjoyed this day also. We took a beautiful cab drive to a beach. Pretty much every stop we went to a beach. All we wanted to do was relax, and that's just what happened.
In St. Kitts they are really into their Aloe Vera plants. Rodger fell for it and got a foot rub with the stuff, you can see the picture above. I was dying of laughter and anger because he falls for anything.
All throughout St. Kitts there are monkeys everywhere going wild. We stopped to get a few snap shots taken with one. He was so cute and well mannered.
Our last and final stop was St. Maarten. This was probably my 2nd favorite spot. No, not because of the Nude Beach, in fact that was not worth my time:). It too, like all the other locations, was beautiful.
The 1st Formal Night. I tend to love formal nights. I don't know if its because of the fact I have a reason to get dressed up and feel pretty or mostly to observe everyone else on the Cruise Ship. I could sit and watch families get pictures together (oh and don't forget the single shots) all night long. Some of their poses/facial expressions are priceless.
The Night Life. We had fun doing the following:
-Play Card Games (Scum was a big hit)
-Going to the Comedians
-Karaoke (Together with Ryan and Tara we sang, The Picture by Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock)
-Bingo
-Hitting up the Casino (Pretty much every night)
-Miniature Golf in the dark
-Home, Happy, and Tan-

I would recommend this Cruise to all. The stops were so pretty and so much fun.
What a difference the Caribbean is when it comes to their pretty white sand and bright blue ocean water. We had such a fun time!
May I not forget to mention that my poor Rodger got soooooo sick the last night of the Cruise. He must have gotten food poisoning. He was throwing up and was up all night. The next day was travel day with 8 hours on an airplane. I felt so bad. I have never in my life as knowing Rodger seen him this badly.
I think we went through hundreds of rolls of toilet paper once we got back home. I can't count how many dirty wads of tissue I have picked up all over my house the last week.
I'm so glad he was semi better in time for the Christmas Celebrations.

A Dream Come True

Thanks to my amazing father, my dream came true.

Any wild guesses where we are?!
...Floor Level 1...
Boom! We are on the 2nd Row at Friday December 10th's Jazz vs Orlando Game.

It was amazing! I could hear the players talking amongst each other, the refs, etc. One thing I noticed was that my neck started to get tired because you had to turn your head each time they went to the other side of the court....but it was oh so worth it.
I was really wishing my favorite, Millsap, would have been diving for the ball and landed right on me and left me with his sweat all over. What an even bigger dream that would have been:)
Anyways, thanks again Dad! It was definitely a night I will never forget. I'm glad I could spend it with you, Dad.

Beginning of December

Our Saturday Night Double Date Activity.
Pedicure in the Mall with the Boys.
It was Rodger's first time and he loved it!
*Funny Story-we told my dad about it and he went a few days later and got one for himself, he loved it as well.
The week before our Cruise we had a visitor! Cindy came in town for Christmas. She was with us for about 5 days.
She got Rodger a Mini-Fridge to go along with his new toy that you will see down below.
We played a lot with Jeff, Amber, and Kyler because Cindy was staying with us. This is Kyler opening up his 1st Christmas gift because Rodger didn't have the patience to wait any longer.

Such a cute family. Photo taken by me:)
And here is Rodger's new pride and joy!
For his personal Christmas gift he gave himself a handmade poker table.
He now has a dedicated room just for poker!

He's such a goof.

We had a great time while Cindy was in town. We played games, made homemade meals, went to her parents to celebrate Christmas, and went shopping.
We're glad she could make it out.
We love you!

Fall Semester

My Fall Semester was officially over Tuesday December 7th. I took my last final that day in the morning. I am quite proud of myself. It was a good 1st Semester back from almost a 3 year break. My classes are below with my final grades.
Art=A
Geology=A
Sociology=A
Biological Anthropology=A-
I found out about my grades while we were in San Juan, Puerto Rico about to leave for our cruise. I was ecstatic! I couldn't believe I pulled off an A- in Biological Anthropology. Just listening to that name it sounds tough and it was.
I'm enjoying my few short weeks of break before it starts back up again. I secretly can't wait. I have loved going back to school and I'm so glad I made that big decision.
My Spring Semester is as follows:
-Another Geology Class
-Nutrition
-Communication: Public Speaking
-Math (Blast)
-TBE (Computer class that is required)
It starts back up again January 3rd.
Wish me luck!

Our November

I'm a titch behind, due to being extremely busy.
Below you can see Our November.
The first weekend in November we went over to Wendover with Scott & Holly. Here we are at Kenny Loggin's Concert. I think I enjoyed people watching rather than Mr. Kenny himself (although he was good). You should have seen the way people were dancing, I was cracking up.
We spent the night. It was a fun weekend!
The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, also known as the "Big Blizzard Day" which disappointed me, we went to an event. They had auctions and Rodger and I were enjoying ourselves and bidding on a number of different things. We were not expecting to win and ended up winning 3! It made us feel better that the money went towards charity.
Next came Thanksgiving Day
Don't you just love my Turkey? I think he is the cutest thing. I always can't wait to get him out to enjoy him for a few weeks. Rodger thinks I'm crazy.
We did the usual. Who doesn't love to go bowling on Thanksgiving?!
Beforehand we had breakfast at Scott and Holly's. We then met up with my family at the bowling alley.

Amber & Jeff
Dayton & Rachel
Jamie
Scott & Holly
Buttons and her beautiful little girl, Sarah.
Dave & Ashley
Lindsey with Sarah who is bowling for her first time with Lizzy's very own Sponge Bob Bowling Ball.

Nerd anyone? Yes, yes, I think so.

I think she loved it!

Sarah & Kyler with their mom's saying hi.

Sarah & Tristan saying hi as well. I think Tristan wanted to eat Sarah. Do you see this happy little girl? I love her to pieces.
All the babes. Rodger and I are lucky to have all of them around.
Later that day we went to my grandparents for the actual Thanksgiving Dinner.

Dinner was delish and we ended with games.

Later that night we had some of my family and Rodger's come over for treats and games.

It was a great Thanksgiving. Rodger and I are both extremely thankful for so many things.

Especially each other.
