My Birthday-09/14 + More

Let me start by saying, I love my family. I have a great family and because of them, my birthday was beautiful. The above picture was Saturday night the weekend before my birthday. We were playing cards. I won and Dave still owes me $20:)
I had to throw this picture in, I love it.
The Sunday before, my mom, did her traditional Birthday Dinner. Since Ashley's birthday is so close to mine, 5 days apart, we combined the dinner. We had Chicken Cordon Bleu, our favorite vegetable casserole, rolls, fresh fruit, and last but not least Chocolate Cream Pie.
Annie Dear and myself

My dad, Angela, and the twins joined us and what a treat it was.
Caroline or should I say "Superhero?"
Ava or should I say "Princess?"
My dad got me a very cute changeable purse and Angela and the girls got me a cute soap dish with "J" soaps. Thank you!
My presents from Rodger were wrapped up and out on our kitchen table the day before.
Notice the card? He says I was his "Shining Star." Yes, we are weird.
I was treated extra great at work. I got beautiful flowers from one of the guys I work for.
My cubicle was decorated all festive.
Rodger had a Fruit Boutique delivered.
And balloons came along too, you can't forget the balloons!
That day, Rodger, Lindsey, Chelsea, Sarah, and my dad took me to lunch. We went to Happy Sumo @ The Gateway. I love Sushi.

Opening my gifts. This is when I noticed at the bottom of the bag, Lindsey had written Geology with a frowning face. She dropped the class because the first week she was lazy and didn't do the assignment. I told her all I wanted for my birthday was for her to get back into the class and she did it, just for me! Or so I like to believe. Thanks Lizzy! Oh, she also got me a cute Halloween shirt and sweatshirt.
Buttons got me a Pilate's DVD and cute jammies.
Rodger couldn't wait and wanted to give me one of my gifts at lunch. It was a card and inside had a little riddle to figure out...and of course, I couldn't figure it out. It read:
Happy Birthday my Shining Star! I love you no matter where you are, we can go on a trail or hike, on your very own "_______ _______."
The blanks are for Tandem Bike! I was so excited. I have wanted one for a while now.
It just came today and I can't wait for our first ride together on a Tandem Bike, no matter how nerdy we look.
Sarah finally woke up and looked as cute as ever!
I freaking love her to pieces.
Later that day before our usual T Cubed (Taco Time Tuesday) before our Softball Games I opened the rest of my gifts. My mom got me tons of clothes, thank you thank you. This was the first gift Rodgie gave me, Guess Who Extras, you can never have too many games.
And the last gift....an ipad. He spoiled me. He says this is mostly for school and I love it. I was hesitant at first because they are expensive and he already did enough, but he insisted. I love you Rodg.
See, I told ya I loved him. He treats me like a Queen.
Onto our softball game. The twins came and I loved to see them.

Our cute cheerleaders.
The usual cheering crowd.
My "hop" going home. We won!
I love this picture. My dad was popping Sarah's toes. His trademark.
The girls love Sarah.

I had a great birthday. Thank you to everyone for the happy wishes and love.
So far 23 has been great.

Later that week, on Sunday, it was Ashley's Birthday! Ashley has just started working at the same place I work. She will be doing what I do, but for two other agents in our office. I have been training her and it's kinda fun to work with your sister. Notice the word, kinda? No, I'm kidding, it really has been fun and it will be a positive thing. I just HATE training people.
My mom was out of town this weekend and since Ashley's birthday landed on a Sunday, I didn't want her to be stuck with Dave to cook dinner. So...we invited them over, along with my sisters for dinner. Rodger made his signature pasta. It's so yummy and this night it was extra good.
The Birthday Girl and Sarah who was 6 months old on the 15th!
The "Kiddie Table"

After dinner we played a round of "Golf" the card game. Sarah had enough and took a nappy.
My bike came this week! Here we are moments after we picked it up and were about to go on our first ride.
I LOVE it. Today we are going to ride it over to my moms for dinner.
If you've never been on one before, you should stop on by and try. It's truly fun! I prefer either the front or back, they are both delightful.

Our Labor Day Weekend-California

Over Labor Day Weekend we were lucky enough to go back to California for a stay with Randy & Cindy.
Our room was set up so nicely and made us feel right back at home.
Of course, back to the Golf Course. Check out my hot husband.
At one hole, I drove from where Rodger starts and hit a beautiful shot right down the middle. My next shot, even better, and I was on the green in 3. I then putted for par, that's right. I'm really itchin' for some lessons.
This time we had even more great company. Jeff, Amber, and Kyler joined us! They came the day after and stayed one day later than Rodger and I. Check out how cute Kyler's face is!
Ky and his cute mom enjoying the pool.
Grandma Cindy with her grandson. She misses him so much!
Ky and I in the "baby pool"

Their home is still as beautiful as we remember it.
On one of the days we went to San Francisco, our usual spot to hit when we go there. Amber had never been so we definitely made a day out of it. here we are on the Bay Bridge heading over to the city.

Lunch at Fisherman's Wharf. Here is Cindy and Kyler.
The famous picture spot, Alcatraz. We missed seeing the seals!
As always, we get cold down in San Fran. Of course, we didn't bring our sweatshirts that we left back at the house. I can't tell you how many sweatshirts Rodger has from having to buy one because he's cold in San Francisco. I first got mine and Rodger picked out the color. No, it was not so we could be matching the rest of the day. You could easily spot us though, that was the plus!
We drove past Lombard Street on our way to...........a spot I have been dying to drive by forever.
That's right...the Full House Street on Steiner Street.
We weren't exactly sure which house it was because it has been remodeled, so I took a picture of the appropriate color yellow.
We then hit up Haight & Ashbury for some shopping and looking around. What a cool place.
We had a blast.
One night we played our famous "Cards Game." This is where you flip a card from your hand and try to it in areas such as, cups, bowls, hats, etc. Back when we went to Mexico, the four of us, Amber, Jeff, Rodger and I shared a room. We played this game for hours and it has been our favorite ever since.
Or should I say the boys favorite?
And the winner was.......
Goof Ball. He got a card in the smallest area.
I loved the quality time I got to spend with Kyler. He is such a happy baby.

Here is Cindy with Randy and his 2 kids, RJ and Justin.
Thanks again for the stay! We always have such a good time out there. Can't wait until next time.
