Current Events

We had a great weekend. It started off with picking up the girls (sleepover time) on Friday after work and off to Ikea! The girls were great shopping partners. They loved the store. It was as if they were playing house.
We got this little piece of heaven, The Bergsbo, I love the name, to organize our DVDs. Rodger spent quite some time putting it together later that night once the girls went down to bed. Before hand we went to dinner at Wingers with my sisters, Sarah, and the New Addition Dave. It was a fun dinner with the twiners.
Saturday morning we woke up and got ready for Dayton & Rachel's Wedding! Above is Ava posing on the bridge. Her love for the camera makes up for Caroline who doesn't like it so much.
Jamie was the flower girl. Do you see her shoes? Adorable mix. All the bridesmaids were wearing black dresses with red shoes that were similar.
The Groom, Dayton. His son, Tristan was matching him. He was also wearing a white tux suit...he looked so cute. I'm upset I didn't get a picture.
The Beautiful Bride, Rachel. My pictures are not that great since I forgot my camera and we were using Rodger's iphone.
Jeff, Amber, and Kyler
Rodgie and I
Congrats Dayton & Rachel! Of course we made them our usual Money Tree. This time we got a real tree from Ikea and the name really was, Money Tree.

Later that day we went to the Davis County Fair. Again, forgot my camera. Rodger thankfully took a few.
The Hen House. I could look at him all day long.
The girls loved the Blow Up Toys. Caroline going down the slide.
They both picked the Motorcycles for their ride. Miss Ava.
Sweet Caroline
I love this picture. The girls were walking pretty slow, so finally Rodger picked them up. Poor things had a busy weekend and were tired!
On Sunday Rodger woke up during the night and was sick. I wake up at 5:00 AM because I heard our door close with Rodger gone. I go downstairs and he is on the couch. He is always so cute and concerned that he is going to wake me up.
*Rodger, I am a hard sleeper, I can sleep through anything.
Cute thing came back upstairs and throughout the rest of the sleeping hours, he was going back and forth from the bed to the bathroom. The only thing that was keeping me up was when he would shut the door to our room, the fan would slam it shut and make a big noise! I didn't complain, because he was worse off:) That day we drew the curtains closed and watched lots of movies. I did have to go to Church to teach our 7 year olds one last time. Yes, we are being released, they are going back to combing the class. The kids were sad, they actually liked us!
Anyways, Rodger is feeling better but still a little tired and weak. Thankfully his aunt is looking into his condition because his stinkin stomach keeps bothering him. We know he has IBS, but he shouldn't have to be dealing with it this bad. I hope you get better soon, Honey Bear.
In other news. School started on Monday for me! I am officially a College Student AGAIN. Welcome back, after 2 and a half years of fun and husband time. It feels good, sorta. Going back to school has always been in the back of my mind, I was sick of pushing it away. I figured I have the time and money now, so I should go back before kids come into the picture, which won't be until after I'm done and maybe even longer than that. My schedule is as follows:
Tuesday & Thursday's
7:30-8:45 AM-Sociology
Wednesday's
5:30-8:10 PM-Anthropology
2 Online Classes
-Physical Geology
-Art
Hopefully one more online class, Communications. I should hear back from the teacher this week.
That's right 12...possibly 15 credit hours. Fortunately, 3 of my classes are with Lindsey. The 2 at the Campus and we have one online class together. This makes it especially easier to go, with one being REALLY early and one night class. I believe I want to get my degree in Communication: Public Relations and Advertising. Not 100% sure yet.
I am still working Full Time, 30 hours a week in downton Salt Lake. Luckily my classes are at the Davis Campus in Layton, so closer to home.
I will be busy, but I love to be busy. The only thing I worry about is my time with Rodger. I will miss it. I'm excited for this new change. While going to Walmart last night to get some back to school supplies, Rodger knew inside I had a huge smile and of course had to comment on it and make fun of me. He is supporting me 100% and I am so thankful for that. I love him.
Wish me luck!

Dumb Blonde

Going back to my blonde hair has really had an effect on me. At work we are doing a Water Challenge. You must try to get 6, 8 ounces of water in a day, 8 is recommended. When I heard this, I thought, well that's easy, all I drink is water. It's true, I love water and it's really all I drink. I have been using an Arrowhead Water Bottle that I have kept re-filling for a couple of weeks. I got it one night after one of our Softball games and I love the cap part you drink out of. Pictured below.

So I have continued using it and on Monday our Challenge began. In fine print it says 700 mL (1 PT, 7.7 FL OZ). Me, who overlooked the other numbers, only took to heart the 7.7 FL OZ part. So I thought, OK, I have to drink at least 8 and a half of these and I will get about 8, 8 ounces a day since it wasn't quite 8 ounces, it was 7.7 ounces. Seems simple, right?

At dinner at our usual T Cubed (Taco Time Tuesday) I was telling my mom, sisters, and Rodger that I was dying! It had only been a day and a half and I felt so bloated. I was going to the bathroom sooo much and no one at work was really complaining. I was just thinking they were all cheaters. Come to find out, they helped me realized how many ounces I was really consuming. Don't worry it was only 188.8 ounces in one day when we had to get only 48, but 64 ounces is recommended. No wonder I felt like if you were to punch my stomach I would throw up only water!

Also no wonder on Monday I didn't get hungry until 2:00 pm for lunch and I gained about 3 pounds.

Welp, I'm pretty much covered for about 3 days.

I knew this Challenge would be easy.

I guess it's a good thing I'm back to blonde, it suits me better.

Ava and Dave

My dad saying his speech.
My mom saying her speech. They both did a wonderful job. We were lucky enough to get to do a Sibling Speech. We were not thrilled at all to do this. It is tradition in Dave's family and we had to follow. Since Ashley is such a Material Girl we had a purse full of items most women have in their purse. The little girls pulled out the items and attached to them was a story that related to the object. We took turns reading them.
Chelsea is holding Menstrual Relief Pills and mentioned how Ashley is the most sensitive and always has been. Our presentation went well. We got laughs and embarrassed Ashley, mission accomplished:)
The result of Dave's Sibling Speech. He loved the attention.
Sarah with her Daddy. She is getting so big!

The Reception was up in Eden, Utah. It was at my Dad's Clubhouse in his neighborhood. It was a beautiful evening, the view was gorgeous.
Ashley with her Bridesmaids.
3 Sisters
3 of Dave's Sisters
3 of her Best Friends
Dave with all the girls.
I truly enjoy this picture. This was us "dancing"
Caroline is Anti-pictures. This just recently happened. We did the best we could.

Chels, Linds, and I painted our nails the same color.
Sarah loves Grandma!
Chels and half her family. The boys couldn't make it. Keaton was at Scout Camp and Isaac was at Football Tryouts. We missed them!
My Little Family. Ava wanted to be apart of our picture, we'll take her any day!
They served Waffles, fresh fruit, chocolate sauce, whip cream, nuts, and ice cream. It was delish! The cake was adorable too.
Chelsea, Sarah Sue #2, Myself, Rodger, and Sarah #1. Sarah came all the way from Missouri. Her and Ashley were best friends growing up. It was so good to see her.
The cake result. Dave won.
And the Highlight of the Day............
The bride went in the pool! Wedding dress and all. First, all of the groomsmen jumped in, then the bridesmaids, then my aunt and lots of cousins, along with others. It was a Party! As I was standing down by the pool, I see Dave running with his bride in his arms and she is covering her face. My heart sank. I run in front of them, grab Dave's arm, "Dave, her dress!" and he didn't even flinch. Next thing you know, they are in the pool.
The next thing I see, my father storming to the pool. I run to his side.
Here Dave is probably thinking,

"Oh, someone is helping me out of the pool. I have loved my wedding, best day of my life!"

NOPE! It was my father, grabbing his arm to say some words, while I am grabbing my dads arm telling him to back off, it's their wedding day...let it go.

(Yes, my hair looks grey, we'll blame it on the flash of the camera.)

Wow, what an event. My dad wasn't aware that Ashley agreed and wanted to get in the pool. When she found out my Aunt Jacki jumped in, she's like "I want to go" and that's when Dave picked her up and away they went. If only father knew this before hand, he may have been in the pool happily with them:)
It was a great Wedding. One that will be remembered forever.
Congrats Dave & Ashley. I love you!
*They just got back Monday night from their Cruise. Ashley says she has never eaten so much or slept so much (or so she says).....
P.S. Lindsey caught the bouquet. Oh boy...
