Little Miss Jamie

She's been excited for weeks!
We were lucky this last weekend and got to watch Jamie, Rodger's half sister. She is 7 years old and quite the little girl. She was a little angel at first and towards the end was a little more difficult. All in all, we had a great time. She had 2 Halloween parties, this is why she is dressed up as "Sharpay" off of HSM. I even put a touch of makeup on her little face, it was fun.

I have to admit I can't wait to have kids. It was fun having a schedule and sticking to it. Having her come home, doing homework, we even got to do a fun homework activity which included doing 20 jumping jacks (I haven't done those in forever) and sit-ups and push-ups, taking her to her MANY activities, and just hanging out.
Her favorite part was probably her bedroom. She loved her big bed!

We love you Jamie!

Halloween is Near!

Rodger and I got with some of my friends for dinner and pumpkin decorating last week. We met at Lindsay and Ben's house and had a delicious dinner and then off we went decorating our pumpkins. Linds, Ben, Abbie, and Michael all carved there pumpkins while Rodger and I painted ours. They are supposed to look like M&M's. I forgot my camera so I have no pictures with the other carved results, although they looked fantastic. It was a fun night. We finished our pumpkins a few days after because we had to do 3 coats. You should try painting instead one of these times, it's fun! Also I got tagged to do this Halloween Tag, so here it goes:
What was your favorite costume you wore as a kid? It would probably have to be a witch. My sister Chels and I looked pretty great as witches. We had the green face, the creepy make-up, the HUGE hair, the pointed hat, black dress, and a broom. We looked great.
What is your favorite Halloween candy? That's easy-EVERYTHING! Mostly anything chocolate though. We better not have extra candy this year or else I'm in trouble.
Do you have a Halloween tradition? Not really. Growing up it was just the usual things, figuring out what to dress up as and going treat-or-treating. Now with this being Rodger and I's first Halloween together as a married couple we'll just stay at home and pass out candy. It'll be fun because there will be lots of kids to see. Next year I think we'll have a Costume Party with family and friends:)
Have you ever played a trick instead of giving a treat? Negative. It would be fun though.
I Boo: Lindsay, Abbie, Stacey, Jess, anyone that is interested. Have fun!

Ink-A-Bink

My mom has to be out of her house this week. Our poor Ink, we believe wouldn't make the move. She's lost a lot of weight over the months and has been loosing hair like crazy. We've had her for 15 years. Lindsey got her for her 2nd birthday and Linds is now 17. It was time for Inkers to go. It was rough for my mom and Linds the most.
*Ink Black Bennett
*April 14, 1992-October 6, 2008
*Memories*
*She used to sleep with me with one paw on my face.
*Ashley always shared her Halloween candy with her.
*She would sit on the stairs with her butt on one stair and her paws on the one above. We always said she was at school.
*Opening the front door and seeing mouse guts:)
*Everytime you would cry she would always find you and lay on your back.
*We would play school as sisters always in our old house. We had a jump rope tied to a basket that would carry your homework up for you. We would always try and put Ink in there, she would always jump out.
*We loved Ink and always will. She truly was a great cat.
The day before

Linds made the box. She wrote under the "Ship To" part: Kitten Fluff Grey Licker Beecher. That was my moms cat when she was little. They will be friends in heaven, I guess.

We buried her in our backyard. My mom putting purple flowers above her.

We'll miss you Ink. We love you. See you in Cat Heaven.

Our Weekend

Sunday:
Between the 1st and 2nd General Conference we decided to go for a hike up Adam's Canyon.
*After about 10 minutes, you see beautiful sites.
*We hiked about two hours and sweet Rodger would get behind me and push me up the hill. I couldn't have done it without him.
*The small waterfall.

*Finally we made it to the big one.

*Gorgeous*
I recommend it to everyone.
We're going to TRY and do this every Sunday morning until weather permits:)

Saturday:
I helped my mom pack up and Rodger had to work most the day.  Nothing exciting.

Friday Night:
We went and babysat Ava and Caroline.

*We walked to Emigration Market and had dinner.  Yummy.

*Made them giggle in the bath.

*And played with them in their new playroom.
We had a blast, can't wait for next time.

Go Utes!

Rodger and I got to go to the Utes game last night. Omar (my moms friend) gave us two tickets. They were great seats. At dinner beforehand I had Rodger really explain Football to me. Now that I fully understand it, it's extremely fun to watch. With about two minutes left they were down. People were leaving from their seats, no one expecting them to win. They got a touchdown and the crowd was going crazy. They WON! It was exciting. People were running out on the field going wild. It was fun! GO UTES!

Another side note: Lindsey was upset that I didn't post anything about her. She hasn't been feeling too well lately and went to the doctor and found out she has Mono. Poor soul. I love you Linds, take it easy.
