Weekend Get-A-Way

Joey, Chels, Rodger and I went to my dads house up in Eden this past weekend. We love going up there and have decided we need to get lots more trips in before they move off to Texas. It's such a fun, quiet, relaxing place and we had a good time. We watched movies, the Jazz Game, made a fabulous dinner (thanks to Rodger), and played some games, also went to the mall and Buttons (Chels) and I got a little surprise.
Chels and I decided to have a little fun and get nose studs, that's right, suprised? I was too. I thought, "Why not?" I've always thought they were cute and we decided together to get it done.
Here I am moments before.
Chelsea seconds away-she was scared!
The Results! Chelsea's nose is really red because she just got hers done. She made me promise I would say that:).
The pretty view up in Eden-we all went golfing (Chels and I watched) and had a great time. Rodger got a birdie on a Par 5-it was a great shot-he was way happy, as was I.
Chels & I enjoying our stay at the house and our new look.
And out she came! I couldn't handle it anymore, it was fun while it lasted, just wasn't me. Chels still has hers and she loves it.
Thanks for a great weekend you guys-many more to come!

Twins Turn Two!

For their Birthday Party we went to the Bees Game in SLC. It was lots of fun and the girls even enjoyed it.
They were terrified of "Bumble" but eventually Caroline liked him and even gave him a high-five!
All 6 Sisters Together! Left to Right (Caroline-Lindsey-Chelsea-Ashley-Cortney-Ava)
Here is there "CAR!" that Dad gave them-they love it.
Rodger and I took the girls to Build-A-Bear yesterday for their Birthday. We thought it would be a fun experience for them and they seemed to enjoy it. Caroline got the Monkey and Ava got the Dinosaur. They are such cute girls and so polite. Caroline says "Thank you Cornee" (Cortney) for everything you do for her, it's cute and hopefully it lasts!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS-WE LOVE YOU!

Big News!

*This was supposed to be a poem, but I gave up, bare with me.
Joey and Chelsea are moving away.
It’s going to be a really sad couple of days.
We’re very happy for them to be with their boys,
And know they will love having Dad & Ms. Chelsea
Being there for them after school days.
What happens when we have Sunday dinners,
Family parties, softball games, visits to each others houses,
And even talking on MSN while at work?
These things will be missed so very much
But Chelsea’s right, it’s just a plane ride away.
I am jealous that they will enjoy 80 degree weather
Pretty much all year round while in Texas.
I’ll be sad when I hear that a 3rd child is about to come out.
I’ve always imagined I’d watch my nieces and nephews
As much as possible.
But we’ll come visit and so will you.
Just promise me you’ll now BLOG TOO!

I love you both so very much.
You’ve shocked us all
But we understand
And I speak for everyone
When I say-we completely agree with your decision
And are so happy for all four of you.
Things could be worse-we’ll all survive.

Monday Night Fun

On Monday night Rodger and I headed down to Park City to meet some friends. It's one of Rodger's best friends Braden, who is engaged to Megan. They are getting married in August. We were planning on staying the night, but it didn't work out, they thought they had two rooms (only one). Therefore we just ate dinner together and watched the Jazz game!! Go JAZZ! I'm so in love with what is happening now with the JAZZ, I can't wait to continue in the Playoffs, because it's going to happen. Anyways, during halftime we went Hut Tubbing and it was extremely fun. Here are some pictures of our fun night. We got home late, but it was worth it! Thanks Braden & Megan!
Watching the game
Enjoying the Hot Tub.
I love this picture with all the fog/steam.
Here we are having fun!

Prom Night

Here are the two beauties! They both looked gorgeous and I hope that they have a great time.
Here is Lindsey and her date, Landon. Of course she was excited to go because this is her boyfriend also. Poor Landon, when he walked in the door my Dad asked if he was going to go do Temple work. I think he got his feelings hurt, he shouldn't have because he looked sharp! They matched perfectly.
Here is Ashley with her date, Mark. He is a nice looking boy and really sweet. Ashley was excited to go with him. Don't they look precious?
Here they are with their Dad moments before they each went off. Each dance my Dad loves to always get a picture with his girls, without fail. I never know what he does with them, he probably doesn't either. He just loves being in pictures. I love you Dad!

Ashley and Mark were going to The Garden for dinner. Lindsey and Landon were going to PF Changs. Then they were all off to the Capital. I remember going to the Capital for my very first dance which was Prom. I absolutely loved it and I hope they do the same. I love you both very much!

Here is a glimpse of Rodger & I at our very first Prom. The one at the Capital. I was a Sophomore & Rodg a Juinor. Fun times.

Happy Birthday Aunt Jacki! (Annie Babe Too!)

This picture was taken in August of 2006 at a Family Reunion.

I hope you have a great day. You completely deserve it. Every year without fail she calls me on my birthday and sings me the famous "Jacki Birthday Song" and it's wonderful each time. She even would call Rodger on his birthday and sing to him, even when he wasn't officially apart of the family and that means a lot, I know it did to him. I hope your day is filled with lots of time with Kevin, your girls, your grandchildren, and garage sales. I know that's what you love best. Have a great day! I love you!

Happy Birthday to my favorite dog of all times. Annie is the best and I love her so very much. I miss you each day (ask Rodger) and I'll come see you today soon. Tell Mom and the girls to give you lots of treats. I love you.

Isn't she just great?

Mowing the Lawn

The hammick (spelling) you see in the picture we got on our honeymoon-very excited about it!
Today was Rodger's first day of mowing the lawn. He did a fantastic job!! We have a pretty big yard being a corner lot. I know he enjoyed it very much because he has been wanting to do it for weeks. We just want to thank my mom for our Wedding gift, which was our lawn mower. Thanks Mom, we love it and it worked wonders!!

Cafe Rio Friday's

We absolutely love Cafe Rio and go there almost every Friday. My mom usually comes with us, today we missed her, but Lindsey (my sister) and Jeff (Rodger's brother) joined us today. For those of you intrested in a couple's special, here is what Rodger and I get. We share a Cafe Rio Chicken Salad and then get chips and queso with a drink. It's the perfect meal for two. Next time you go you should try it out.

Babysitting Chloe!

Happy as can be!
She loves doing this!
Here is Chl & I

We got the opportunity to babysit crazy & cute Chloe! Her poor mom, Alicia, isn't feeling too good and needed to get some rest. Chloe is quite a joy and so hilarious. We picked her up at Little Kev's parents house and off we went to run some errands. She was a great partner at shopping. We went to Sams Club and Walmart. She found a new favorite song called "I'm a Babie Girl" by Aqua. She heard it once and wanted to hear it again and that time was even singing to the song. I'm trying to think if she said anything funny. Oh, yes. While we were in Sams Club she said, "Do you know why I'm asking you so many questions?" I said, "No, how come?" "Because in the car you were asking me SOOOO MANY QUESTIONS!" I said, "I'm sorry, I just want to know what's going on in your life." It was pretty funny. We had a good time. About halfway through our babysitting adventure Rodger says, "Are you ready for kids." I said "Not now." and he agreed more. No offensive to Chloe, she's great! Rodger then had to add how good of a dad he is going to be.....and I couldn't agree more on that. We then got some dinner and then came home to our house. Chloe is a cleaning bee. She helped us clean our house from vaccuming, to sweeping the floor, and dusting. She loved it, as did we! Rodg and her than played Mouse Trap while I continued doing our "Thanks-Yous" from our Wedding. They didn't get to finish before Little Kev came to get her. It was so cute because they left and two seconds later the doorbell rang. It was Chloe and she said thank you and gave Rodger and big hug. She seems to love him. I'll never forget that when we first got engaged Chloe asked me, "Well who are you marrying?" I said, "Rodger." "Oh, you are, werid!" I think she always thought he was my brother or something-pretty funny. Rodger was a little upset because when she left he said, "Dang, I really wanted to finish playing Mouse Trap." I think it was a sign but all I said was, "I'm sorry." Because secretly I wanted to watch American Idol Gives Back! Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be playing later on. We hope we can do it again sometime soon, maybe next time with little Maddie!

WE LOVE YOU! (This is her trying to make hearts-she did it-even two!)

Babysitting Night!

Every now and then Rodger and I get the chance to watch our 2 favorite little girls. We have the best of time and this week was great because we watched them twice! They are such smart little girls and so happy and hardly ever get upset or cry. They love each other so much and it's adorable to see. As soon as my dad and Angela left for the Jazz Game, they both started crying, Caroline more than Ava. I told Ava to give her a hug and kiss. Ava went over to her and just started laughing and smiling at her, it was impossible for Caroline not to smile and laugh back and that's just what she did. Another fun story is that Caroline loves for me to blow my bubbles with my gum. She happened to notice and kept saying "More, More." I would continue to blow them and she would act just like me. Her little lips would move as if they were trying to blow a bubble, it was so cute. During this process, I smelled something. I said, "Caroline, did you poop?" "AGAIN!" This was all she would say. I asked her again a couple of more times and we just went back and forth. It was cute. Then she finally agreed that she did. We can't wait for the next time to spend time with them-hope it's soon! We love you guys!
Caroline loves Rodger's hat, doesn't she look like a punk?
Smiley Ava!
Twins!
Happy Caroline!
Poor little Caroline missed Mom & Dad when they left for the game, she does this when she is sad or upset. Ava made her happy again once she gave her a hug and smiled at her.
Rodger reading them a story-they love books.
Here we all are!
Rodger giving Ava an "Airplane Ride", she loved it.
